The Music & Video module provides for comprehensive tracking of music & video collections including DVD's, CD's, VHS Cassettes, Records, and other media.
Standard data entry fields provided for Music & Video Collections:
- Title - name of the work
- CD-DVD-VHS Type - Type of media, supported by a choice list
- Studio - Movie studio/recording company supported by a choice list
- Length - Duration in minutes of the work
- Genre - Artistic category or work supported by a choice list
- Description - detailed description of the work
- Equipment - Camera used to take photo, supported by a choice list
- Description - Detailed description of photo contents
- Year - Year in which work was created
- ID # - User assigned tracking number
- Actor/Artist (4 fields) - Names of lead actors/actresses and artists, supported by choice lists
- Detailed Information - additional important information regarding this work
- Recommendation - users opinion, supported by a choice list
- Rating - Official industry ratings supported by a choice list
- Note - Detailed text note or attachment of rich text format document
- Pictures - up to 20 pictures of this item may be attached and presented in a picture index, included on formatted reports, and viewed
- Action List - a multi-level action list of 24 actions is available for each item
- User defined information fields - The user may add additional additional text, numeric, date, and computed fields supported by choice lists. The total number of available additional fields is approximately 50. These may be placed on any of the tabbed folders. The user may also customize any of the standard fields provided above.
Preloaded choice lists provided for Music & Video Collections:
The contents of all choice lists are user modifiable. The user may set the choice lists to automatically add any new user entries and may directly edit the contents of the list. The following lists are preloaded by Carlisle Development
- CD/DVD/VHS Type - This 1-level choice list provides for common media types for artistic works
- Actors/Artists - These 4 1-level choice lists contain lists of well known artists
- Genre - This 1-level choice lists contains artistic genres such as Country Music or Adventure Film
- Studio - 1-level list containing well known studios and recording companies
- Rating - 1-level list containing standard industry ratings such as PG-13
- Recommendations - 1-level list containing user recommendations
Choice lists attached to information fields which are not preloaded:
- Seller - This 1-level choice list contains a list of people, companies from which items are purchased.
- Location/Container - This 2-level choice list records places and containers in which music & video collections are stored
